Catalina State Park

We took the new moho on a test run to a lovely state park in north Tucson. My new co-captain chair not only reclines, it has a foot rest. I can't even reach the imaginary brake if Tim needs my help driving.

Our hike on 50 Year Trail was poorly marked and our 6 mile hike ended up being closer to 10 miles.

The saguaros are beautiful. Even their skeletons.

We hiked through many sandy dry river beds. The boulders and dead wood were smooth from years of flash flood waters.

We spent another weekend with Kay.

Kaela - you are so darned cute.

Cocktails for 8; Dinner for 4; Sleeps 2

Life is a Journey: A 2008 Winnebago Journey 39Z Diesel

Look at all those pass through bays for basement storage of tables; chairs, tools, etc.

Tim is happy with the rear cabin 42" flat screen TV with satellite
I wanted the table and chairs instead of a dinette.

There are opposing sofas and swivel captain chairs. We have loads of room for entertaining and playing Wii

At the end of the kitchen area there are two doors: the left one leads to the bedroom and to the right is the bathroom that will also open to the bedroom. No more bumping into each other.

Except on the king size sleep number bed. A good quality, comfortable bed is crucial.

Lots of closet and cabinet space

32" flat screen TV. A huge tinted picture window with cushioned bench seat. This combo washer/dryer that holds more than you think.

If you come to visit for the weekend stay with us. We have lots of room!

Kaela & Joshua are in the desert with us!

Kaela and Joshua are finishing up their 3 month visit to America. We were so happy to see them when we were in San Diego. They drove up the coast with friends and stayed in Tacoma for a month. They enjoyed driving back south through Utah and stopped to stay with us for 2 weeks.

At Boyce Thompson Arboretum we saw a saguaro with blooms. That's pretty unusual.

Josh liked these Seuss looking cactus and Kaela liked the barrel cacti pin cushion look

It was great to spend the weekend at Kay's house. We broke up the week from living together in small quarters and were able to spread out and have some privacy. And we had some fun too!

From IB to AZ

The park in IB was quite nice. I just love being in San Diego. August is not the most ideal month because of the humidity but it's an amazing city. We love being here with our family and friends.

We moved on to Canyon Vista's in Gold Canyon on September 13. IMHO this is waaaay to early to go to Arizona, but life is a compromise and we moved on. The Superstition Mountains are so green this time because of all the summer rains the Phoenix area received

The end of monsoon season brought heavy rain, winds and flash flooding. This area also gets the tail end of the hurricanes that pummel Baja California. After the storms come beautiful sunsets and rainbows.

We experienced crazy sand and wind storms called haboobs. When you see the wall of dust coming at you; take cover and button up your home tight.  We've seen mother nature in her finest moments.

We visited some friends near Show Low in the high country. It felt so good to get away from the desert heat and enjoy the fresh scent of the Ponderosa pines.

We decided it was time to buy a different motorhome.  We've increased our length and went from gas to diesel. There is no comparison. Our Winnebago Journey is both powerful and comfortable. We now live in about 350 sqft full time. That means we have room for you; our friends. Come for a weekend. You can sleep on the couch for a couple of nights.
