Ghost Towns in rural Montana

Our RV site afforded us a beautiful view in Philipsburg, MT

The historic town is rich in mining history

Now it's famous for it over the top Candy Palace

We went off the beaten path to visit the Granite Ghost Town area

This two story building was the Union Hall

You can see the mining operation up on the hill top,

Our next stop took us to Ennis, MT  We tasted the locally made fare at Willie's Distillery and enjoyed some live blue grass music.

Nearby is historic Virginia City and Nevada City. They had quite a collection of antique organs

Yes, that is a two story outhouse.

There is train you can ride the 2 miles between the two cities. Between them they boast more antiques representing this time period than the Smithonian

Tim and I attended the Brewery Follies at the recommendation of the locals. It was a good belly laugh - and good local brew too!
