There are many trails for us to hike. At night we hear coyotes howling and barking. I've heard the coyotes howl many times, but I haven't heard them barking. They sound like a dog, punctuated with a puberty type squeak. They must be announcing the local gossip, their nighttime conquests or possibly the meal they just killed. They do this all night long. It sounds like they are surrounding us.
The desert sunsets are wonderful oranges and pinks. This is from our patio area.
