This beautiful mission was built in the 1700's
Today is Mardi Gras; the day before Ash Wednesday
San Xavier Mission is likened to the Sistine Chapel for its beautiful painted walls and ceiling.
Then we went to Tubac for some artisan shopping. I don't buy much these days. Like Tammy says: If I can't wear it or eat it..... I don't need it.
The boys are bored, let's have lunch and a beer.
We then went to another Mission/Presidio that is a National Historical Monument
They chose not to refurbish it.
