Sabino Canyon

Today we headed to the east side of Tucson to do some hiking. Since we had planned a 5 mile hike above the canyon, we took the tram to the end of the line to start. 




We walked up the switchback trail in the blazing sun then along the ridge above the beautiful canyon. We could hear the river below.

You can barely see the tram on the road below and the river by the green cottonwood trees. We had a nice cool breeze up here.


Nature does a great job of balancing rocks. These had fallen during an earthquake in the 1800's.
